The leading role of Rosalind, the girl who must escape to the woods disguised as a boy, will be portrayed by Rivka Borek. Rivka is an international performer who has often appeared at the Hong Kong Arts Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A company member of Shakespeare and Company in Massachusetts, Rivka studied acting at the Moscow Art Theater in Russia and has a degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock.

Starring as Rosalind’s confused love interest Orlando, will be British actor Jonathan Blakeley. Jonathan appeared in the British film “Teen Lovers” and has been featured in theaters in London and New York in productions of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “Antigone,” and “Absurd Person Singular.” Jonathan trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

Costarring with this romantic pair will be Kacie Leblong and Jeremy Sabol. Kacie plays Rosalind’s vivacious cousin Celia. Also a member of the company at Shakespeare and Company in MA, Kacie has been featured in leading roles at The Players Theatre in New York, the New York Renaissance Faire and the Barn Theater in Michigan. She holds a degree in theater from Indian University.

Jeremy Sobol serves as the play’s antagonist, Orlando’s evil brother who is transformed by love. Jeremy has been a regular on the TV show “Forensic Files.” He has also appeared at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival in productions of “Antony and Cleopatra” and “Cyrano de Bergerac.” Jeremy is a graduate of DeSales University.

The final visiting cast member will be North Carolina’s own Christopher B. Donaghue as Jaques, Shakespeare’s most famous wry philosopher. Hailing from Charlotte, Christopher has played leading roles in “Taming of the Shrew,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and “Macbeth” at the Abbey Players in Belmont, NC. Christopher will also serve as the production’s fight choreographer and be featured in the play’s thrilling wrestling match.
